    Thanks for a great rehearsal this past week!  It sounds like good
progress was made during sectionals and your hard work was really sounding
great throughout the evening.  A special thanks to Art for filling in for
Joanna while she was away last week.

Item   4   - Mark your Calendars for Oct. 6 (Only 2 weeks away!!!!!!!!!!!)

I am very excited to announce the engagement of Rebecca Copley as a
clinician for our October retreat.  Rebecca has an impressive resume of
worldwide opera performances, musical directorships, and most importantly
for us, has a wonderful voice studio with a long history of helping singers
master techniques for better singing in both solo and ensemble work.  I have
worked with Rebecca several times in the past and know many who have
cherished her abilities as a vocal coach and instructor.  Ms. Copley will be
working with us on breathing techniques, projection, and stage presence
within a choir.  You won't want to miss it!!!!!

Don't forget: Our retreat day on Oct. 6 is very important as we will work a
lot on the large works during this time.  We will also have some fun time as
well as a few surprises that will be announced in coming weeks.  This will
also be a time to get used to the space we will sing in on our Friday
concert, so please plan to be around from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday,
October 6th.  If for no other reason, lunch will be provided :-)
