Kathleen/ February 3, 2011/ All Prior Concerts, Concerts

Our fall concert explored both sacred and secular song throughout the centuries. We began with great antiphonal works for choir & brass by Gabrieli, Schütz, and Handl and moved through French art songs by Debussy and Hindemith, contemporary songs from David Dickau, Robert H Young, and Eric Barnum. Our concert concluded with a varied selection of opera choruses from Verdi, Mascagni, Copland, and more. It was a true sampling of great music from many traditions.
